Re: UBYTE4N vertex data

Hello and welcome to TSF
as you already know this error means that the video card does not support Pixel shader, unfortunately you can't get it as a software, as it is a feature in your video card, so the best thing is to get a new video card
what are you running? a Desktop or a laptop?

OK I need you to do two things

1- Post your PSU model and watts, you definitely needs a new one, cause brebuilt PC comes with a bad PSUs

2- download CPUz from my sig and open it, click on "mainboard" tab and take a screenshot and post it here (I need to see what VGA slot your MB has, a PCIe or an AGP)

Re: UBYTE4N vertex data

There is no point trying to find your PSU really because they are strictly built just for the stock configuration.

It has a PCI-E slot
-HP pavillion a6520a specifications

If you have a budget of around

Depending on your budget you can get a nice PSU and video card. I would say a decent budget would at least $200.

You might want to consider getting a new case too since your current one probably doesn't cool down anything.

Re: UBYTE4N vertex data

In order to play COD4 you need a discrete video card you currently have integrated video.
For the video card to work properly you'll need to upgrade the power supply also OEM's like HP, Gateway among others only install a power supply large enough to power the set up as installed at the factory, while a low end card will run on your current PSU you will not be satisfied with the slow game play.

Your motherboard does have a PCIe x16 slot for a video card. Which CPU do you have?
