Re: Need help increasing FPS

hello and welcome to TSF
I don't think your PSU is high quality and able to handle your PC
download the latest directx 9.0c from my sig
be sure to use the latest Nvidia Drivers
does this only happens with Ghost Busters?

Re: Need help increasing FPS

You definitley need a bigger and better quality PSU, you should get a new one ASAP.

Silverstone make good PSU's, as do ThermalTake.

Good luck, the stuff RockmasteR suggests should definitley help.

Re: Need help increasing FPS

ok, I reformatted my pc and now I'm getting 40-60 fps, but the game is still choppy at times so I will definately look into getting a new PSU. should I look into getting better ram and a better CPU as well???

Re: Need help increasing FPS

I would be running this PUS

Corsair 850w
$140
after rebate $120
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139009

Your current PSU has 4 12v rails but they never add up perfectly and you do get a way more inefficient PSU because the rails don't feed power to each other.

The Corsair has 1 12v rail at 70amps

Re: Need help increasing FPS

When choosing a PSU, you should read some of the information located here:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/ram-power-supply-support/192217-power-supply-information-selection.html

It is very useful to have when considering what PSU to buy.

Hope this helps.
