Never Ending Problem!

I'm having problems with pogo, and like I said it's a never ending problem! For about 5 days now everytime I click on a game it will load and then once it gets to the please wait loading screen it stops and I get the Oops... Somethings not right yada yada yada. I have had friends try and help fix this problem but nothing has helped. I have cleared all temporary files on AOL on Internet Explorer and Java. I thought it might be lack of memory so I deleted whatever I could and went from having 227GB to 266GB and still not working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled java like 10 times and still nada. I have deleted applications in java applets files, everything and I have no idea what else I can do! The problem actually started when I deleted stuff now I cant play any games and I've tried to load different games but still not working. I could really use some help! Pogo is my lifeline! I miss it! Please help!!!

Thank you,
Ashley

Re: Never Ending Problem!

Are you also having problems browsing some websites or just loading games? Is this happens in pogo only or it won't load any java/flash based games?

Re: Never Ending Problem!

Its just pogo. I've went on different game sites and tried it and they work. I tried to email pogo but everytime I put in my username and password it just repeats that one page it wont let me email them.

Re: Never Ending Problem!

No I havent, but I tried to play a game on AOL and it wouldnt let me so I think it might be Java, but I'm not sure how to fix it because Ive uninstalled and installed it so many times I would think the problem would be fixed by doing just that. Is there something other than the flash player, I should have to run Java??

Thank you!

Re: Never Ending Problem!

You really need to download java and adobe flash player for browser games. After downloading the latest version of these two programs and still no games loading on any website, you might wanna re-install the browser you're using or try alternate browser like firefox, chrome, safari etc.

What version of IE are you using by the way??

Question Re: Never Ending Problem!

Ok, I uninstalled java and adobe flash player, and now I'm installing them now. I'm using Internet Explorer 8, I just installed that today. I'm also using AOL 9.0 VR. Thank you so much for your help and your fast replys, I really appreciate this!

I also want to explain what I did to cause this problem, or what I think caused this problem. When I was in a game on pogo, one that I go to all the time, I was telling a friend how I could only go into certain games on pogo, others I'd get the Ooops.. Could not load game images thing. Well this friend told me to delete my temporary files, so I did I deleted them on Internet Explorer ( I deleted everything) and AOL( I cleared my footprints), then she told me to delete my temporary files on Java. So I click on the little java icon on the menu bar at the bottom, clicked control panel then went clicked on the General tab and settings in the Temporary Files area, I clicked delete files and it asked me if I wanted to delete, Applications and Applets and Trace and Log Files I delete all this, once I left that room and tried to go into a different one I couldnt and this has been the problem ever since. Did I do something I shouldnt have?

Re: Never Ending Problem!

Not really, that's fine. Maybe your IE8 is corrupted that's why it won't update your java. Try uninstalling your IE8 and go back to IE7 then update your java again and see if pogo games will work.

Re: Never Ending Problem!

Same here, I use IE6 before then switched to firefox and up to now i'm still using firefox. I tried using IE7 once just to experience it and had a problem with it, my experience wasn't really that good with IE7, I lost my connection and it's saying a DNS problem. No outage with ISP or anything, I just thought of removing IE7 and went back to IE6 and it worked. Pretty weird though. Just sharin'.. lol
