Company of Heroes specs.

Okay well I play Company of Heroes allot but I quit just before the new expansion came out. But I just bought it, and recently have upgraded my computer specs are;

AMDAthlon 5400+ DualCore.
Radeon HD 4650
3GB Corsair 666Mhz DDR2

Running on Window's Vista Home Premium

But even on mid-high setting my game gets major fps drop mid game when there's a few explosions and a few unit's on screen. But surely this is wrong, if you refer to this forum http://forums.relicnews.com/printthread.php?t=129780 people say they can almost max on system's that are not near as good as mine... I just don't get it.... Is because Vista is so much of a resource hog?

Re: Company of Heroes specs.

That forum is 3 years old. There have been graphical improvements on the game, albiet not many.

You should download the latest graphical driver and the AMD dual core optimizer in RockmasteR's post

latest driver
Just download the display driver only.

Re: Company of Heroes specs.

Hi guys!

The DualCore Optimizer I already have, and I was on gamereplays.org yesterday and saw a topic were ATI were claiming that the 9.6 graphic's card update improved video performance for Company by around 25% and yes I did see a GREAT deal of difference but still I think my rig should be able to pull a bit more out of CoH than that... on Medium, High setting's I get 62 FPS from the start and it drops mid game to about 30-40...

Thank's for the replies!

ANything above 30FPS is fine. The human eye can only see 30FPS anyways so it won't look any smother above that really.

What is the minimum FPS you get?
