[SOLVED] game crashes to desktop

hi all i mrunning windows server 2003 im trying to test load a game on here bf1942 kinda old game but when i put in the disc it starts to load the crashes to my desktop

I don't think that the game supports windows Server edition, try to run it in compatibility with windows XP (right click on the shortcut and click properties, choose compatibility and set it to XP

no good i try that same oh crash to desktop when it crashes it makes a beep noise

is the beep coming from your speakers?
try to reduce the hardware acceleration of your sound
Control Panel -> sounds and audio devices, under speaker settings choose advanced, and set the hardware acceleration at BASIC (move the marker two times to the left)
and click OK
try the game and report back

not coming from my speakers it beeps when i click my mouse

the beep come sout of the tower itself

ok i figured it out i had the new version of directx 9.0c i unistall that and reinstall directx 9.0b woo hoo
