Re: Runescape issue
You do not use firefox, understandable. But can you try it again after using atf cleaner.
But if you can access runescape from you laptop, surely you can access their customer support. I remember the days when I played runescape (many years ago now) and they have some highly technically minded employees in their support section. By using a router and it works is very interesting, Can you plug your cable directly into your laptop and see if you can access runescape. If you can then the issue is solely based on this new computer, if not then I will need to do some thinking, maybe a moderator with vastly more experience could nudge you in the right direction. I am off to eat lunch so may not be back for a few hours. |

Re: Runescape issue
Have you enabled/setup your local area connection on your laptop? That is why the internet isnt working. It is (almost) vital that we establish if you can connect to the website from your laptop with the cable plugged in. Since am not the best man of choice to explain networking I have sent a message to a member of the games team who could hopefully help you with setting up a connection on your laptop(not the best explainer).
While we are on this subject, could you please log onto runescape on your laptop via the accessible wireless of yours and send a message to the runescape technical support. This seems to be an area that is being avoided. Thanks |

Re: Runescape issue
Ok to set up a broadband connection,
Click Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Create a new connection In the network connection wizard that should pop up, Click Next -> Next -> *Tick Setup My connection Manually* -> *Tick Connect Using a broadband connection that is always on* -> Finish That is how it works in XP and I'm fairly sure it should work mostly the same in Vista. If you have any trouble, let me know.

Re: Runescape issue
Are you sure you have the latest browser? Where did you download it from?

Re: Runescape issue
Did you set up the internet connection on your laptop?
How did it go? Were you able to access the site?

Secondly can you download keep firefox, chrome and opera web browsers on your computer for the time being. Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html Chrome http://www.google.co.uk/chrome Opera http://www.opera.com/ The reason for temporarily having four different browsers is to see if they all do not allow the accessing f the site. Re: Runescape issue
Going with what Floop said...
Maybe you installed a bot that actually had a piece of code in it that blocked you from going there? HAVE you installed any bots or something like that? And check your firewall settings and the website allow settings in Internet Explorer. Make sure that RuneScape is whitelisted. |

Re: Runescape issue
master x210, did you contact customer support and inform them that using the lastest browser didn't work?
