It's really awesome.

Also, that file that I suggested you delete earlier, I found out where it's located.

It's inside your account folder. So, if you go to this directory:
C:\Users\YourAccountName\
You should be able to find it. It says Jagex somewhere in the title.
the file is not there =)

Re: Runescape issue

No offence but with runescape and the vast number of password stealers, I would personally be rather reluctant to install anything that claim to be an add-on/aid/helper of runescape. If you still have an issue master try this..

On the runescape website click "play now" > "java options" and change it to "Force Sun Java"

Re: Runescape issue

Well, first of all, SwiftKit is a standalone project that is basically a secondary browser window, that allows you to open it and play RS through it. You setup a profile in SwiftKit, and then hit the "Play RuneScape" button, and then you just continue through the site as you normally would.

And second of all, didn't he say that RuneScape.com wouldn't even load? So he can't really do your instructions, can he? ;)

Re: Runescape issue

Actually, I forgot, runescape places files on your computer, try deleting

C:\Windows\.jagex_cache

Do this and copy your host file :)

Re: Runescape issue

Ok, if you have played runescape on this computer before then there should be a jagex file.... Can you do a search for Jagex (show hidden files and system folders)

Now, we need to see if you can actually connect to the webpage.

Go to:

Start > Run > type: cmd > then type: Ping "www.runescape.com"

Once that has finished, right click then choose select all, then right click and choose copy and paste it here with a copy of your host file.

If you've never played RuneScape on that computer, then you won't find the Jagex cache files on it ;)

Re: Runescape issue

Master x210, can you please post what I asked for, the host file and the runescape ping. We need to see if your computer can connect to the webpage. If it can then we need to see if there is a host re-direct, if there isnt then we need to see if there is some hidden rootkit or malware.

Thanks

Re: Runescape issue

Can you right click select all and then right click copy and paste it here please. I need to read what it is saying. Can you also copy your entire host file, something you mentioned earlier has given me a thought as to why you cannot connect.

Re: Runescape issue

Have you tried accessing the actual game page (rather than the home page)?

If not, try following this link:

http://www.runescape.com/game.ws?m=1&j=1

By the way, @ N Raj, Swiftkit is fine, lots of people use it, it is not a password scam.
