Morrowind Vista Mod Mess

I got a new computer a few months ago, a Vista 64 bit. I started playing Morrowind again. With the add on pack of both Bloodmoon and Tribunal. However, if I activate Bloodmoon (data files) it gives the "Cannot load snow flake" thingy and crashes. I try re-install it and the same happens. So I had to play without Bloodmoon. It works perfectly fine without it.

Resently I have been downloading mods for Morrowind. Better bodies and heads work. So does an armor one called Divine Domina or something. However most of the others I have tried have either not shown up in the data files (probably because of me and my lack of knowledge on these things xD) or did work, I select them and they crash the game after giving various errors. If you want to know what they are exactly I will get them and tell you xD

Has anyone have any idea whats going on? Are the mods conflicting with eachother (I don't think so as it said they were compatibal with the things I had)?

I would love to play it with Bloodmoon and the Mods. Should I uninstall everything and start from scratch (I think I might have messed it up by getting alot of mods in the wrong places and such or something when I was trying to figgure out how to add mods xD) but will that help?

Any sugestions? ^.^"

Re: Morrowind Vista Mod Mess

Id suggest cleaning out all the mods and then reinstalling only the ones that are guaranteed too work. you can probably Google them to find that info.

I did a simler thing with Garrys mod. ended up having mods conflict or just not work at all.

I'm not too sure which Expansion pack came out first but you need to install Morrowind in the order the expansion packs came out.

I agree, start from scratch.
Install Morrowind, test it. Install Tribunal, test it. Install Bloodmoon, test it. Install each mod one at a time, test as you go.

This way you will know exactly what is causing the problems.
There used to be a Morrowind Mod Manager that would detect conflicts but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I have done this. And its deffinatly Bloodmoon that doesn't work out of the EPs. But for some reason no matter how many times I untinstall and re-install both Morrowind the Mods still don't go even when I say uninstall everything for both Construction and the game.

Re: Morrowind Vista Mod Mess

Are you saying the Mods won't uninstall? Sorry, don't quite understand your last sentence there.
As for the Bloodmoon snowflake problem - locate your Morrowind.ini file (should be in \Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind or wherever you installed the game).
Open up the .ini file with notepad and find the [Archive] section.

Make sure these two lines are there:
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa

If either are missing, copy them into that file and save it.

Also, right click the Morrowind.ini file, go into properties and make sure 'Read Only' is unchecked.

Yes. I can't get rid of them. I tried deleting them manually and everything but they just are not dissapering. Am I doing it wrong?

And okay thank you! I will check that =]
