Far Cry 2 load freeze

hi,

when i first played FC2 it worked perfectly, about 30fps,
however, when i go to play it now it doesn't seem to load, it goes through all the menus fine, but when i load my save game it just doesn't seem to do anything. it stops loading and sits there, i have left it for 10 minutes and nothing happened.

Do you have any idea why this might be happening?

My system:
AMD Athalon 64 Processor 3500+
Speed : 3.5 GHz
Graphics : ATI radeon HD 4670
Ram : 1 GB
OS : XP home Service pack 3

Try uninstalling the game with revo uninstaller
http://www.revouninstaller.com/

then reinstall the game.

make sure to back up the game
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Profiles\player\default\savegames

before uninstalling the game, locate you saved games folder and cut it and paste it someplace else
now enter the game and start a new game, if it works then it's an issue of corrupted saved games

A reinstall will probably necessary, I had a different game do a similar thing. Do you have the game installed on another computer?
