Hosting on WC3- No router, Fiber optic computer=>ethernet

As the title states, I have a computer running straight into my wall plug-in. I have a fiber-optic connection and Ethernet ports running throughout my home.
I have had the issue of trying to host games in WC3(Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne) And don't know as to why i cannot host because i am not behind and firewalls or a router of any sorts.

You cannot host anything without a router to enable port forwarding with.
