Onimusha 3: Demon Seige

Alright, my problem is this. When I try to install this game on my computer, I get this error. It doesn't get past the installshield wizard, so I don't know what's up. I'm able to install it fine on another laptop that also has Vista on it, so I don't believe it's a Vista exclusive problem.

Below is the details of the error I recieve.

Help would be highly appreciated. I know it's an old game, but I'd still like to play it considering I bought it today

Right click your the drive with the game in it, click 'explore' and find setup.exe or install.exe and right click that, press 'Run as administrator'

Also make sure your anti-virus or firewall is not blocking the installation or CD drive.

Some screenshots would help.

The game's DRM or InstallSheid may be finding Disc Emulation Software or something, make sure you have software like Daemon Tools or AnyDVD uninstalled or disabled before installation

I tried running it as administrator already (probably shoulda mentioned that), and I just tried disabling antivirus programs for a second to see if that would solve it. No luck.

From the looks of it, its crashing before it even gets to the actual install. Problem with installshield maybe?

I can post screenshots if necessary.

I'm going to bet on that the game is simply not compatible with Vista and will not work. You can try searching for some patches or something but I doubt you will find anything.

I was able to get past this part of the installation without any problems on a laptop I have that has Vista installed, hence why I said in my opening post I don't think its a vista exclusive problem.

Just doublechecked all of my drivers, they're all updated to the latest version. My geforce graphics card is at the April 2'nd, 2009 update, etc.

Try uninstalling any form of the game using Revo Uninstaller www.revouninstaller.com
