Hitman Blood Money

I bought the Hitman trilogy for my Windows XP today and I am trying to download it. I am able to download all of the other disks except for Blood Money. When I launch the game it goes to the loading screen, then the nVidia screen, then the intro and then it returns to my desktop. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Here are my system specs:

Re: Hitman Blood Money

When you say download, do you mean Direct2Drive? or install?
Because TSF does not help people with pirated copies of games.

Your anti-virus or firewall is not blocking the game, also try reinstalling that exact game alone or in a different path.

Install. I bought it new from amazon, so it is not pirated.

Yeah, neither are blocking it.

How would I install it in a different path? Also, I have tried reinstalling it at least twice.

When you are installing it, it will either give you an option to 'browse' a different path or choose a 'custom' installation.

OK, thanks for your help. I'll try it today.

Also, I know this isn't likely, but my comp has another hard drive that my uncle installed...Could that have anything to do with it?

One last question, All of the other disks are CD-ROM, except for Blood Money which is a DVD-ROM. What is the difference?

if your game is installed and you can enter the game but after a while it exits it could be from your video card
please specify your video card

to find it click start -> run
type: Dxdiag and press enter

choose display tab

on the upper left there is "Device"
this is your Video card

write it here
just need the 1rst 3rd and 5th line

Re: Hitman Blood Money

I dunno Hitman isn't too GPU intensive and it may run or should run...
Intel graphics aren't meant for games at all though

I find that DEP (Data execution prevention stops Hitman Blood money from working properly

look at this nice tutorial to turn off DEP

Re: Hitman Blood Money

The second hard drive will have nothing to do with the game. Also the difference between CD-ROM and DVD-ROM is that DVDs can hold a lot more space and be used for movies.

OK, well I get no notifications, and it says DEP would notify you if it shut something down. It just stops after the intro and goes back to my desktop.

It did not work. Any other suggestions? It doesn't even quit the little window that pops up when you insert the disk, the one where you can reinstall it, uninstall it, play it, etc.

That just means autoplay is disables or non-functioning and it's quite normal.
Just double-click on your CD drive and it will show the menu.

No, the menu pops up. But when I click on play it goes through all the stuff I said and then quits. The menu however remains there.

Re: Hitman Blood Money

ok just to be sure just go to www.canyourunit.com
and see if the game support the Intel card series
test your PC to see if it's able to play the game
even some older games don't support Intel cards, like Deus Ex 2 (2003)

As it turns out, the game does not support the Intel card series.

However, it says I can download either an ATI Radeon 9500 chip or a Nvidia GeForce FX chip. But when I tried to download the Nividia chip it said that it could not find any drivers or something that is compatible with it. And the same thing happened with the ATI chip. Anything I can download to support one of those?

It also says that I need to download Vertex Shader 2.0

Re: Hitman Blood Money

Download ATI or Nvidia Chip??
who told you that!!!??
what you did download is drivers for ATI or Nvidia Cards
you need to have a Video card by ATI or Nvidia to install those drivers
and yes The game supports shader model 2.0 but unfortunately Intel cards don't support them, that's why the game in not starting

maybe it's time to get a Video card?
if you want to please post your Power Supply info
You need to open the side case of your PC and look on the stickers on your PSU
we need the Watts (W) and the Amps (A) under the "12V"

Hmm...Well before I do that, how much would a video card by Nvidia or ATI cost? I'll probably just end up buying Blood Money for Xbox 360.

Thanks guys for all your fantastic help and fast responses

At least I learned how to do some stuff on my computer from this.

Depends on what you want to play, do you like the latest and greatest games? then you will have to dish out some cash, but low or medium end games won't require so much money
