Would my computer run these?

Hey, I have access to two games: Assassin's Creed and Crysis. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not my computer should be able to run these games? (I get the feeling it will be yes on Assassin's Creed and no on Crysis )

Here's my specs:

Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo (1.83 GHz)
3 GB RAM
300GB Hard Drive DDR2 (I know it's not really important for actually running a game)
Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS (256MB)

Thanks in advance

You might be able to run them both, but only on the lowest settings.

*EDIT* 8400M - Is this a laptop? If so, then you probably won't be able to run either.

It is a laptop, and this is why I'm asking; I do currently have Call of Duty World At War installed, and run it on about medium-high settings (it runs really well), so I thought I would ask before I decided to try them out

Re: Would my computer run these?

Well I tried out the Crysis demo (crazy awesome game!) and I had it on everything low, except texture settings being medium. It only lagged a bit during videos, but that was okay, just as long as gameplay isn't hindered

Re: Would my computer run these?

what was the resolution set on?
resolution plays a great role in performance

also try Fraps (www.fraps.com) to see your fps (frames per second) in game

in crysis it's acceptable to be between 25 and 30 and everything above 30 is good

and if you could run Crysis than you will run Assassin's creed
in Assassin Creed your FPS must be above 30 to enjoy the game

Re: Would my computer run these?

I had the resolution on 1024x768, with medium texture graphics, and like I said, it only lagged a bit in the videos (it does that in other games like CODWaW and Fallout 3)

Re: Would my computer run these?

I can tell you that I had a nice $40 dollar drink coaster called Assasins Creed when I tried running it at a wonderful 2 FPS with a Geforce 6200. Oddly enough the same system ran Crysis just fine.

But you computer will run both games okay. Although you would have better results with windows XP

Re: Would my computer run these?

if you run Crysis on 800 x 600 you will notice a better performance

Re: Would my computer run these?

you should try throwing banana's (if you can find them at the the enemy)

I usually kill the enemy using their own guards
I sneak around in invisible mode and grab an enemy and throw on strength mode and chuck it another guy then go hide in stealth mode again

ahh its so fun messing with their heads!

Re: Would my computer run these?

Well, I've played the demo enough to know I really want this game, so I think I might get it.

Thanks for the help :)
