When Ever I Try To Install The Following Games I Get An Error Message
Saying. (ERROR 1335 CABINET FILE IS CORRUPT & CAN NOT BE USED)

My System Spec is

Windows XP Pro Service Pack 1
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Duel Core Processor 4800 + 2.51 GHZ
NVIDIA GEFORCE 8600 GTS PCI Express 256MB DDR3 128bit
SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Xtreme Audio
2.00 GB RAM DDR2
80 GB Hard Drive
HT 2000 4-4X NFORCE 4M-A Motherbroad

Could Anyone Help Please Thanks!

hello and welcome to TSF

try to copy the DVD contents to your HDD and try the installation from there,
and also delete this folder : "InstallShield Installation Information" located in c:\program files
it's hidden so you must show hidden files, to do that :
when you are in any folder click on Tools -> folder options -> view
under hidden files and folder choose "show hidden files and folders"

I Tried Copying The DVD Contents a Few Times Before. But After I Did That & Tried To Install It From The Hard Drive It Would Come Up With Another Error. But I Haven't Tried Deleting This Folder Before ("InstallShield Installation Information") So I'll Give That A Go Thanks.

First, please please install service pack 3 as you are extreemly outated.
Also make sure your anti-virus or firewall is not blocking the game's install path, then try re-installing.
After getting service pack 3 update all your drivers.

Hmm Slight Problem There. As Service Pack 2 Won't Install On My System (As You Need Service Pack 2 To Install SP3) When I Try To Install It Comes Up With An Error Saying File is Corrupt But It Has Worked Before. Also Certain Other Files Won't Install On My System ie Some Drivers & Other Games Etc.

that seems windows has become corrupted
if you have the original Windows CD try to format your PC and install the service pack 3
that should solve all the problems

If the problem persists after reinstalling Windows then your Hard Drive ist kaput meaning it's broken and time to get a new one.

you need XP SP2 do a reinstall

I'd suggest slipstreaming XP so you ca install XP SP3 right away

Slipsteaming is for lazy people, but effective. Make sure you slipstream correctly or you can screw everything up.

As Suggested I've Got a New Hard Drive & I Still Keep Getting The Same Error

(CRC Error: The File C:\Program Files\SEGA\Data\smv\Rome_Title.wmv Doesn't Match The File in The Setups.Cab File. The Medium From Which You Are RunningThe Setup Maybe Be Corrupted Contact Your Software Vendor)

NOTE: This error occurs with all games.

This error is actually related to more to RAM problems.
Download the CD version of Memtest86 from my sig.

Start by testing each of your RAM sticks individually (Physically Remove all but one stick) as testing them all at once can give false failed tests. Each test can take upto 30mins depending on the RAMs read/write and copy speeds.

Hi, ive have tried upgrading my ram, my hardrive & yet I still get the same error message saying (ERROR 1335 CABINET FILE IS CORRUPT & CANNOT BE USED) whenever I try to install a game. I have not been able to use my pc for months now & I am getting really P*** off with it. Is there someone who can please help me as I am temped to F**king smash it up.

Have you put on the latest service pack?

I can't put on server pack 3 as SP 2 won't install.

It's time you made a slipstreamed DVD and formatted your computer to get XP SP3 on there. Most games do not work without SP2 and some don't work without SP3.
