Re: keyboard not working during gameplay.

do you have software running for the keyboard?

most keyboards have no need of this extra software and run fine without it so you can try uninstalling it.

Re: keyboard not working during gameplay.

Hi ABP.

When you are playing NFS, does the whole game lock up, or does the game keep running but your keyboard doesn't work?

I ask because the problem may not be related to the keyboard at all.
BSOD's are a pretty clear sign it's a problem somewhere else.
Could you please post the Stop Error for the BSOD and any additional information the BSOD identifies.

Re: keyboard not working during gameplay.

Hi -

The bugchecks -

0xa (0xb90f8b37, 0x2, 0x0, 0x805150d5), probable cause = memory corruption ( nt!MiResolveTransitionFault+7f )

0x7f (0x8, 0xf78acd70, 0x0, 0x), p/c = NT Kernel ( nt!_SEH_prolog+1a )

The driver listing shows some driver updates are needed -
Code:

Realtek Ethernet
RTL8139.SYS Fri Jun 13 01:29:46 2003 (3EE9614A)

Realtek Audio
RtkHDAud.sys Fri Sep 23 06:56:25 2005 (4333DF59)

ATI video
ati2cqag.dll Tue Mar 21 23:12:22 2006 (4420C096)
atikvmag.dll Tue Mar 21 23:18:34 2006 (4420C20A)
ativvaxx.dll Tue Mar 21 23:33:39 2006 (4420C593)
ati3duag.dll Tue Mar 21 23:40:09 2006 (4420C719)
ati2mtag.sys Tue Mar 21 23:56:21 2006 (4420CAE5)
ati2dvag.dll Tue Mar 21 23:56:42 2006 (4420CAFA)

Get these drivers updated and see if system improves. I know none specifically relate to mouse, but may indirectly.

Regards. . .

jcgriff2

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
Arg2: f78acd70
Arg3: 00000000
Arg4: 00000000

I ask because the problem may not be related to the keyboard at all.
BSOD's are a pretty clear sign it's a problem somewhere else.
Could you please post the Stop Error for the BSOD and any additional information the BSOD identifies.
not the whole game, just the keyboard.
BSOD errors are different at different times, they are
0x0000008E AND 0x000000D1.(check minidump files attached)
i think problem not with my memory because my ram stick is just 2months old and i also conducted a memorytest.

i think most probably problem is with my drivers. i am using intel desktopboard d101ggc.when i logged in to the INTEL website for downloading my drivers i see the updates are dated 2006.( u called this a update?).

so any one please give me a link or suggetions for my driver updation.

Re: keyboard not working during gameplay.

ATI Driver you need (scroll down and its option # 2 under DISPLAY DRIVER)
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...1&lang=English

and with realtek drivers anything newer than 2005 (audio) and 2003 (ethernet) will be good
