Call of Duty 4 MW movement lost in multiplayer

I have downloaded and run the patch for online playing and all seems to be running ok, and even as I go through control settings and retype forward, back, right and left but as I go into the game and then I am placed in that environment, I cannot move at all, although i do manage to look around using the mouse,
the default controls are set up the same as in single player, but it works ok in single player, I even downloaded punkbuster latest version after i was kicked off a few times for not moving!!!

system is;
Dimension DXP061
Intel Core 2 CPU
6400 2.13 Ghz
1.00GB RAM
32 bit operating system
GeoForce 7900GS Graphic Card

When you remap the controls, are you pressing OK or APPLY? or are you just pressing BACK or pressing ESC?

Try using the default controls, make sure no key is already in use.

i think i was pressing back, never noticed an ok button, will have a look again, cheers
