Exclamation New game - choppy and rough play

I recently purchased Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge, and I LOVE it, BUT, the game play is rough and choppy and skips and it makes it nearly impossible to play when you get to the higher levels. As far as I can tell, everything my computer has should run it, and I downloaded DirectX 9.0 and it seemed to help certain areas a wee bit, but I just want to play a smooth game.

Please get back to me asap.

EDIT: you beat me Dai, you're FAST!

whats your PC specs?

RAM
CPU
Motherboard
PSU
Graphics Card

if you don't know that do this

start menu
click "run"
type "dxdiag"
and save it as a log file

check it if you want to but it doesn't save any personal info

Re: New game - choppy and rough play

You have integrated graphics, that means there is a little chip in the motherboard (the huge thing everything is connected too) that runs 2-D and 3-D applications, but is not designed for games. If you want to run the game I suggest buying a dedicated graphics card, that means there is a card that is only for running games.

Try getting a Nvidia Geforce 8500
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...142&CatId=1603

It will run anything you want for a fairly small price. Everything else is okay.

Re: New game - choppy and rough play

there should be label on the side of the PSU, its best if you can take a real nice close up pic of it so we can read it or just try posting name, brand and wattage of PSU like Dai said

Re: New game - choppy and rough play

75 dollars?! Geez, I paid less for the actual game. There's nothing cheaper that would work than that?

Re: New game - choppy and rough play

download CPUz from my sig
open it and go to "Mainboard" Tab
take a screenshot (by pressing the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard and open Windows Paint, paste the picture), save it and upload it here by pressing attachments (it's besides the smiley face in the menu when you write a new message).

and that card on ebay is very old

Try not getting cards from eBay if you can, you have to expect to dish out money for a power supply and graphics card.

Re: New game - choppy and rough play

Alright, then is there any other card brand new that would be cheaper than that? I can't afford that since I'm only ever going to have one game on my computer at a time anyway.

Re: New game - choppy and rough play

Alright I'm sorry, this is all brand new to me, your suggesting I choose from one from those, or buy them all? I'm confused, I don't mean to keep being so frustrating.
