Graphics GLitching on multiple games. Sometimes Crashes...Tf2 and Bf2 Mainly

This is a post for my friend, I am running out of resources and ideas on fixing.

in TF2 and Bf2 the graphics glitch so bad that you cannot see anything.

Here are some pictures to what happens linked below.

It happens randomly, and SOMETIMES (but rarely) an ALT+TAB will correct the issue.

We even did an RMA and got a different video card, and it STILL is doing this. New 500 watt PSU as well.
Heres the screenshots of the games..weird url, hosted on msn spaces
http://cid-01be831e8047d430.skydrive.../screen002.jpg
this is in bf2 but the SAME thing happens in tf2
The PC specs are
PNY 8800GT 512 (tried it on orignal and then RMA'd and got refurbed one)
AMD 3000+ CPU and MSI K8 Neo-4 Mobo
2gb DDR Ram
What we have done

All drivers updated, including DX
Clean format multiple times
Made sure PCI E slot was clean.
Monitored TEMPS, usually below 60c
this mobo used to be MINE and it worked fine for me, then I gave it to him. I had the same Graphics card but mine was from XFX

Any ideas?

Raidmax isn't a quality PSU

you're going to need a good one like this

Corsair 650w
$100
after rebate $80

Re: Graphics GLitching on multiple games. Sometimes Crashes...Tf2 and Bf2 Mainly

I honestly do not think its a power issue. It COULD be, but not sure. I told him earlier it may be a monitor issue, because he is running a really old monitor with a DVI to VGA adapter. He just went and purchased a new flatscreen after I told him and he tested it for about 30 minutes with no issues, so that MIGHT have been the cause. The screenshots I linked here look kind of like tearing, which can be caused by a monitor I hear.
He will test more tomorrow for a few hours to see if it solves the problem, but so far so good. I will keep you posted.

The image you posted show what looks like missing textures and possibly artifacting (on the left side).
That wouldn't be caused by a bad monitor.

Have you had you friend check the systems' voltages?
You seem to know a fair bit so I won't bother explaining how to check.

Re: Graphics GLitching on multiple games. Sometimes Crashes...Tf2 and Bf2 Mainly

I have monitored the temps and they all stay super low, below 60 degrees Celsius.

I also monitored the Voltages and they are relatively static and good. We are going to do another RMA for the video card see if that fixes it.

New monitor / cable / plug did not help.
