Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 problem

Hey I installed evil genius today and when I click play I get the message:

Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x757392A0 0x00000004 0x757392A9 0x757392A9

Does anyone know how to help me solve this problem?

I just got another message saying:

Runtime error!

Program: ... mes\Evil Genius\ReleaseExe\EvilGeniusExeStub-Release.exe.

abnormal program termination

Help?

what is your PSU?
and did you try to run the game as administrator? and using compatibility mode?

I don't know what my PSU is and I did try both of those.

it's critical that you know your PSU
the HD 3870 is a power demanding game and needs a good PSU

Im sure its nothing to do with the PSU I had the same problem on my old computer and I have more than enough power.

you need to open your tower's case and look at the sticker on your PSU
you will find all the info you need about it

I'm guessing this graphics card is an upgrade, right?

this corsair 650w costs the same as the 550w of the same company

it should do fine for your card

Your PC is lacking the proper power requirements and so when you try and play a game your Graphics card demands more power, which the PSU can not provide in turn your graphics card struggles to cope with the lack of power. lots and lots of people don't really think much about the PSU I learned about it a couple years ago thanks to some nice tech people at my local PC shop

its more important than the actual components because if your PSU is too weak why bother even buying a nice computer it'll just fry, all a matter of time. This is one of the first steps you should be doing to have a stable computer, that is getting a quality PSU
