Dawn of war2: start up problem

i recently installed dawn of war2 but when i try to start the game a taskbar comes up and says intializing game but that is as far as it goes, i have tried using the cd,run,and going through my computer but it all ends up with the same result.

So if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

What are your system specifications?
Right click on My computer, then click properties.

RAM
CPU
motherboard
graphics card
PSU

if its a laptop name and brand
