[SOLVED] Steam Demo won't work

The Steam Demo Empire: Total War won't go past the first splash screen

I've got my specs listed on the side
ask away and i really want to see what the game is like before i commit to buying it

Is that the copyright screen? How long did you leave it?
For me it took about 5 minutes to get past that screen the first time.
This game has ridiculous load times.

It's insane, I literally got up, walked away and got something to drink.
Came back and it still wasn't done. Gave it another minute and it finally worked.

I don't think I'll be getting it, gameplay isn't that great and I really wasn't that interested in it to begin with.

It's got some really nice tatical gameplay and i don't mind the loading once I know its actually loading
