Re: WOW + vista + dual monitors = me crazy

Hi burp_5489 and welcome to TSF,

After a while Hardbooting could cause damage but only if its constantly done after a prolong period of time.

However WOW seems to have a problem when running another program when using a dual screen setup.
For now try running WOW in windowed mode.

If the software is running in the background it could be. Also are both your monitors set to the same resolution.

no one's a 22" and the other is a 17" so i've got different resolutions on both of them

Re: WOW + vista + dual monitors = me crazy

This could be the problem. Different resolutions on the same GPU can cause problems. Try setting both resolutions to the same. Set the 22" res to match the 17". The image will be squashed on the 22" but if it still crashes then we can rule out different resolutions been the problem.

Re: WOW + vista + dual monitors = me crazy

It worked for a while and then bam started freezing again ..with the sound stutterring and looping ... i've tried everything ...deleted the *** interface etc ..ran memtest ....pulled out my ram and threw in another stick ...and the hangs are totally random might happen anytime ..when i searched the forums i noticed that this happened when the 2.4 patch came out ...lots of ppl had problems ..and many of them were running 8series cards

I recon for now just use single display mode while running the other programs and just minimize between them. If it doesn't cause any graphical issues when doing so.
Have you tried any new drivers from Nvidia?
