I just don't get it!
Ok I have recently had my PC upgraded with a new video Card new memory and a new hard drive plus new power supply.
Thing is some games that ran before no longer run now after installing them when you get the game to load the monitor goes to stanby and all the specs I have are better than the recommended for the games. Any thoughts? |

Re: I just don't get it!
I'm not sure what we had or have.
I know we had a Geforce PCI-E 7300 SE which as been replaced by a Geforce 8600 GT 1GB DDR 3 OC graphics Card. We had the computer upgraded by a local computer company and they upgraded the power supply because it needed to be but I have no idea what from or to. I had the Ram upgraded from 512mb to 2x 1gb DDR Ram And I had the Old Hard drive left in and a new 500gb drive added! The Motherboard is a ASUS PSGC-MX/1333 Last edited by ladywithnoidea; 03-01-2009 at 02:35 AM. |

Re: I just don't get it!
power supply brand and wattage
take the side off the case and look at the label video cards and psu upgrades usually go hand in hand unless you have previously upgraded the psu to cater for future upgrades

Re: I just don't get it!
I can't get the case off it's stiff but I know it was replaced by the PC company at the same time as the Graphics card and I was told it was more than capable for the graphics card!

Re: I just don't get it!
I don't trust any PC Company with my PC, even if they say that the PSU is capable, 90% of PC Companies workers don't know lot about PCs
