[SOLVED] LEFT 4 DEAD problem plz help

when i open l4d, the screen turns black(monitor off) but
but i can still hear sound.. it started when i switched to
Window XP SP3 ..

i dunno what's the problem..
i didn't change anything except that

hello Byul and welcomem to TSF

try to reduce the refresh rate of your monitor, to do that go to control panel, and choose display
under the settings tab choose advanced and now choose the monitor tab
now you can see a drop down menu (refresh rate) try to lower to 60 or 75

what was the refresh rate at before?

whats your monitor? it can only accept a certain refresh rate

before it was 75.. i lower it to 60.. haha

yea most LCD monitors are at 60hz
