Sims2: Ikea Stuff Freezes on Vista

HELP!

OK - so I just recently bought a Sims2 Ikea Stuff game and it was working okay the first day I bought and played it. But now it just keeps freezing at random moments and it's getting REALLY frustrating. I have a Gateway M-6846 laptop running on Vista.

Can anyone help? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! :) Thanks, guys.

Are you running sims 2 as ADMIN?

right click on sims2.exe
properties
compatibility
run as admin
run as XP SP2

I tried that, but it still freezes when I try to Create A New Family which sucks... I'm pretty sure it's my graphics card. I wish I can trade my laptop :/ I just bought this one in July though. Agh..
