[SOLVED] Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - The Shivering Isles

The game runs, but when I get to where "A strange door" Should be I get these diamond error objects:

I bought Oblivion CD along with the Expansion Pack The Knights of Nine a while ago, it works fine, but I just bought The Shivering Isles, installed, and these errors show up in game.

If anyone could help me I would be very grateful. (:

I'm at 1.2.0416 isn't that the latest patch?

I've also tried completely reinstalling everything, didn't help my cause.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - The Shivering Isles

Hi. Do you have any mods installed?
When you reinstalled, what order did you do it in and when did you apply the patches?
This is the order it should be done in:
Quote:
Oblivion
Official Mods
Knights of the Nine
Shivering Isles
SI Patch Only

If you do not have SI, then you only need the 1.2 Patch

Note, you only patch once and at the end. And, if you have GOTY, you need no Official Patches

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - The Shivering Isles

I have: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion disc, Elder Scrolls IV: The Knights of the Nine, Elder Scrolls IV and SI 1.2 Patch.

I installed in this order Oblivion>Knights of the Nine>The Shivering Isles>SI 1.2 Update

Not sure what official mods you need, or by official mods you mean the x-pacs

Yes, but including the Documents > My Games > Oblivion ? No, I kept those, Don't want to lose my save data.

I skimmed over %APPDATA% to check if their was some sort of cache in there, but I didn't see anything, for a precaution.

Alright, I'll try that and see if it works, Thank you.

What I am doing now is:
1. Backed up My Oblivion settings/saves folder.
2. Deleted the normal Oblivion save folder.
3. Uninstalled Oblivion.
4. Uninstalled Knights of the Nine.
5. Uninstalled The Shivering Isles.
6. Deleted the Bethesda Softworks Folder in my C:/Program Files folder.
7. Reinstalling everything in this order Oblivion>Knights of the Nine>The Shivering Isles>SI 1.2 Update

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - The Shivering Isles

Awesome, that seems to of worked. Unfortunately I have to start over, or maybe I can move my saved files somehow, I'll investigate more.
Thank you though, I can finally play the expansion. (:
