Warhammer 2 & Windows Live

Good morning,

Ive just installed Warhammer 2. In order to do so and play I had to open a Windows live account through Steam and Xbox Live.

The promotional blurb tells me I can play off line but I have been unable to do so... keeps logging me in.

Can I open an offline account and how do I do it?

Im at work at the moment and our internet filter keeps blocking anything to do with "games" so Google cant be my friend at the moment.

just see if it works disable your net connection,and see if the game will still play.

thanks yeah anytime steam starts it will try to connect.

So do I... but im not :(

I only installed DOW2 at home this morning, before work... thought I would do a little research while at work so I dont take up valuable play time tonight :)

I turned the connection off once I had logged in and game play commenced - this worked well and didnt effect the game.

I did notice that the game kicked me back to the main menu if I disconnected before I got into the game proper.

Its an awarkard work-around but it works.
