COD4 FPS Drops Vista

So before my OS was XP Pro SP3 now im on vista ultimate 64 bit sp1 and in cod4 if im alone in a server 250 fps no problem however once i go ingame it fluctuates a lot but i can manage to keep a steady 125 fps but it tends to drop just for a second down to as low as 60 i think and it just goes up n down very fast and before it didn't do this in XP so wondering if there's anything i can do asides reinstalling xp :P

turn V - sync

if you go higher FPS than what your LCD can handle you get tearing and it'll play as bad as having low FPS

if your monitor can handle 60mhz than it can should only play at max 60FPS

the best game experience would be on 60 FPS you don't need higher, games look just fine between 30 and 60 but of course 60 is the best
