H-L2 trouble while loading

Hello everybody,

I've got a problem with Half-Life 2. When I load the last mission I played before, there is no problem.

The problem takes place when I enter a part of the game and the message 'loading' appears (Chapter Eleven: Anticitizen One). After a few seconds I return to windows with the message 'H-L 2 error' and that's it. I tried to load the mission serveral times again with the hope that it will succeed, but unfortunately the error everytime shows up.

It is very strange because in the past I had no problems at all. Is there someone who could tell me what to do?

Hi woKo and welcome to TSF,

The HL2 lifes might be corrupt, you can scan the HL2 cache in steam for any errors or missing files that may cause the game to crash.
Select the properties of HL2 and then verify integrity of the cache.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it isn't the sollution. I tried what you said, nothing happened so I thought maybe it will work this time. So I did the same thing as usual and the same error appeared.

Do you have another options to solve the problem?

Something like 'Error with Half-Life 2. H-L 2 will be shut down'. Just a error message like when a program doens't work you know.

Videocart: Geforce 7900GS

Will this be enough?

What Service Pack are you running on XP? 1, 2 or 3

Yeah, it should be something with the files, try reinstalling HL2.
