Oblivion won't run-vista sp1

I just bought oblivion goty and after I installed it it would freeze after I selected new game or exit game. I have gotten all the new plugins for the game and graphics card. I meet the system requirements. I have tried reinstalling, run as admin, moving the location of the folder, everything else it said in the readme and a dozen forums, including the bethesda forum and this one. Also, two days ago I did a system restore to origional specs. I've only had the computer about a month. Please, please give me something i can use.

if you cant afford a video card right now.my best advice would be try oldblivion it reverts the shaders back to an older version.that will allow oblivion to play on nearly anything.
