[SOLVED] Saitek X-45 causing shutdown flight sims FS9, FSX
My Saitek X-45 which I've had for the past 4+ years has been working fine with all my flight sim games until it recently failed to function on selecting a game (Both FS9 and FSX). The mouse cursor instead of remaining stationary began jumping when trying to select the game and then the computer shut down and had to be rebooted.
Can anyone help with this problem or is it time to buy another joystick controller?? |

Hi Red15, welcome to TSF
Have you tried reinstalling the joystick software/driver? Have you recalibrated it in control panel?

Re: Saitek X-45 causing shutdown flight sims FS9, FSX
Thanks for your comments koala.
I initially did upgrade the driver but as it didn't solve the problem then I subsequently uninstalled (with Revo Uninstaller which reported that a file had been missing)and then reinstalled the SST Software program from the original Saitek CD after which the joystick now works fine again. Thanks for the opportunity of joining your forum, it's good to know where to go when problems do arise. |
