CoD4, single player progress

I read somewhere you can change the cfg file, in word pad in order for the game to recognize all of the progress. And then I could start from wherever i want for fun..

Anyone??

I'll just give you my config.cfg file and all the saves

I re-Established my original screen name and now it saves everything, I read somewhere that your SP progress is established with OG name. Weird!!!!!

can you give a more detailed explanation of how you solved it? did you just back up your profile or what?

I re-formatted my HD to clean it up, Re-installed the game without saving any of the Player data, (not worried about ranks) thats why ots a game.
I then installed the game, created a new player name, played the entire game. beat it. for the 5th time but when i went back to try different tactics on some of the harder maps. Nothing was there.

So for ****$ and giggles I created a new player with the exact name I've been using for the past year. And now its saving everything

Yeah, its crazy.

that is crazy!

Crazy like if you woke up in middle of dessert and you had slept with Modonna and then she randomly turned into a goat and was eaten by a rather large vicious rabbit.
(aww man I think I've watched too much Monty Python)

so yea thats just weird I'll give activision a email later and see if they save your profile on their servers?
