My PC:

2.40 GHz Celeron
256MB RAM
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller 64MB

I like Shooter Games i have Max Payne 2 running and Half Life 2 but it's very slow, i tried WOW but it was slow too. What games will be able to run on low settings?

Welcome to TSF!!!

Hi,

I would have a look at Can you RUN it?. It is a site that will look at your system specs and tell you what you can run, or what you can't.

If I was you I would look at upgrading your computer a little bit if you have even $100. Here are a couple of things that you could get to help you out a lot:
Kingstone 1GB (PC 3200) ram, Kingstone 1GB (PC 6400) ram

GeForce 6200

Any of these things would add up to about $100, and would give you First Person Shooters a big boost.

Cheers!

You could try something like Unreal Tournament '98.
Battlefield 1942. The original Half Life and Counter Strike.

All I can think of at the moment.

Re: Low requirement games for my pc

My previous computer was a HP with those Intel specs. You will have have two slots for the RAM, so replace the 256 and get a couple of gig sticks. Like wmorri says, you can't go wrong with that. Both your Max Payne 2 and Half Life 2 will run a lot better...and so will your WoW.

Remember, your Intel Graphics shares some of the RAM to run your computer itself.

Although not a shooter, Morrowind ran quite well after I replaced my previous computer's 256 with 768 RAM (added a stick of 512..I could not afford more at the time) And it was considered a graphics hog when it came out in 2002.

Check out the "Can You Run It?" website also.

Unreal or UnrealGold ran much better after installing the extra RAM.

DOOM 3 "might" on if you get the extra RAM.

I could not run Homeworld 2 with my Intel Graphics controller though.
