CODWAW - Screen Goes Black

I have a question, maybe you can help. When i put the game in, I press play. When it goes to the next menu, i press "Play Solo/Co-Op", after i click on it, my screen goes blank. I can hear the game sounds, but I can't see the menu. Any suggestions or tips would be great!

try to lower the refresh rate of your monitor, to do that :

right click on the desktop and click properties ---> settings --> advanced---> monitor
choose a lower refresh rate from there.

Go onto your sound settings in control panel and change them to the lowest setting. Try restarting the game and see if that works.

Re: CODWAW - Screen Goes Black

Try this. This worked for me, I'm running XP, but download the RAD Video Game Tools from here. http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
Its a tiny install. The problem I figure is that the computer has the inability to play the video files in the "D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\main\video" folder.
Therefore this causes the problem with startup because it plays a video right when you start the game. Try it out let me know!
