[SOLVED] Left4Dead issue

here is my prob : I can play Left 4 Dead for about 10 to 20 mins but then it crashes to desktop, no errors or anything, it just closes, I don't play the game online cause I have a very slow internet connection (128kbps)
so I'm playing the Single player, I can't even finish a level, it crashes before any level end.
(PS : I can play the game at high settings)
any ideas guys?

Tried the +mat_queue_mode 0 console command at all?
I used to have incredible lag, with the occasional crash, used that command and it was instantly fixed.

I assume you've checked all temps.
Recently changed GPU driver?

I shall try the command, do i put the command in the game's shortcut? or in the game's console?
the temps are ok, I use foxone (software that came with my Foxconn board) to check my CPU temp, and it's so cold that my CPU temp when idle is 10 to 15 C, I don't know if that is the temp of one core...
the GPU temp when Idle is 40C (RivaTuner) and when playing games (55 to 60C) (Passive cooling too

)

Nice and frosty =)
Try it in the console, if it works (runs reliably for ~1hr), then put it in the shortcut.

You can always setup a cfg file in Left 4 Dead so that when the games launches it also launches custom settings.
Goes in Steam\Steamapps\Common\Left 4 Dead\left4dead\cfg

Name the file autoexec.cfg and place what ever you want in it. (Console commands)

the command line mat_queue_mode 0 in the console worked like a charm, and I made autoexec.cfg in the cfg dir.
