CODWAW won't run

so i am also having a problem.
i have updated all sound drivers and everything works in multiplayer all maps loadable clear sound, not buggy etc.
but...
when i go to launch single/co-op it seems to hit the hardrive... it prompts me for safe mode. i have tryed both yes and no and after that i get nothing. no response from computer or game at all. i go into task manager and then processes and it says that CODWAW is running but nothing comes up. i have searched for an answer to this problem but have yet to find one. can anyone help?

Can you expand on this for us please?

Click on "Common Game Issues" in my signature, and follow all the steps listed there. If you reach the end and nothing has solved the problem, post your full system specs for us (see "Posting System Specs" in my sig).

Re: CODWAW won't run

That option isn't available in XP.
Are you able to post a screenshot of the error it gives you?
Also, please list your system specs.

Re: CODWAW won't run

User profiles are by default Administrators in XP, unlike Vista which limits the users permissions to protect itself. So it doesn't really affect XP unless you have purposely restricted the user you are trying to run the game with.

Re: CODWAW won't run

You need to change the speakers frequency to match the game requirements in the manual. I used to have that prob but it worked for me when i change the speakers frequency.
right Click on the speaker icon on taskbar
click playback devices
click on your speaker
click properties
then go to advanced and changed it according to what your manual says
