[SOLVED] Battle for Middle Earth II Refuses to Start

Hey All,

So after watching all three LotR movies in one weekend, I got the urge to play this game again. However, after successfully installing it and whatnot, I cannot get it to work. Every time I start the game I get the splash screen that says the name of the game and the EA logo, but then it just sits there for a minute and then gives me the "The Battle for Middle Earth II has encountered a problem and stopped working" message. I am confident that my computer can run this game, and after a quick Google search I am pretty sure this is due to an issue with Vista. Is there any fix for this? I installed the most recent patch and still nothing has changed. Any help is appreciated, thanks
