Would Crysis run good? and what about COD5?

i got a new PC recently, it has a Quad Core Q9300 CPU and a Nvidia 9600Gt Graphics Card, i run games at 1680x1050. What fps would i be getting on games like Crysis and COD5 with High or Medium settings? Thanks in advance!

Probably about 20-40fps depending on the amount of activity going on. It's difficult to give an accurate estimate without knowing every detail about your computer as there are so many variables (things like free disk space, RAM, system settings, defrag level, drivers, background processes, etc)

As a guideline, I get over 30fps in both these games with a dual core E6850, 2GB RAM, 8800GT playing at 1440x900.

Disabling antialiasing (AA or MSAA) in the game's options will give you a good performance boost.

hello there,
your CPU seems to be good for these games, your Video card is good too, Geforce 9600 GT is a mid range card, so it's a bit lower than 8800 GT and stronger than 8600 GT, so yes you could Run crysis and COD 5 on that resolution with good fps, you can download a demo of these games and try to use Fraps with them to test the fps with these games.

crysis I would keep on on medium to low settings but Call of duty WaW is totally different so you could probably run it on high settings getting good fps

I have a GTX 260 for crysis I can run it all on VERY high settings with 4x AA I get around 30fps (SOOOO PRETTY!)

In crysis if I'm in a cold enviroment the detail is so awesome

My gun is all frost but near the breech(i guess) where the bullet is ejected it has no frost on it since the heat of explosions from the bullet prevents it. in crysis when those cold creatures fire their ice guns I can see the cold air(blur) from the cold bullets.
