Cry Gaming Mouse

I had just gotten an MX518 about a month and a half ago. My friend had recommended it. Anyways, I didn't put a warranty on it because he had had his for over a year now. About 2 days ago the light on the bottom started flickering on and off and a note on my taskbar pops up and says something but it disappears before I can even read it. When the light goes off, it has disconnected. Ive tried every other USB port on my computer, nothing works. If I lift the mouse up about a cm off my mouse pad it will work, or if I lift the mouse pad up off my desk and use my mouse like that, it will work. Also, if the light goes out, I just tilt the mouse facing up and the light will come back on but if I set the mouse back down then the light will go off >_>

Since I had 30 days to put a year warranty on it, It's no longer good. Is it something that can possibly be fixed? Or should I just go out and buy a new gaming mouse. If so, any recommendations?
