I seem to be having some x-ray probs when loading the game and get this error msg:-

I have the error report made by bug trap but its rather lengthy (3-4 pages), and also have the crashdump.dmp thats even longer.

My comp is on xp service pack 2 i have 64 fx- 60 dual core processor, 2 7900 gtx nvidia cards, 4 gig of ram. i have just installed the latest graphics drivers from the nividia website and rebooted but i just get the same message :-

HELP PLEASE

Oh and the game unless its done it behind my back is the original copy from the disc as brought from the shops brand new i havent even patched it.

You really might want to try patching it first.
STALKER was very buggy upon release, but the patches fixed a lot of problems.

You have to start with the 1.001 patch and then the 1.003, 1.004, 1.005 and finally the 1.006.

It'll take a little while but it makes the game FAR more stable.

Hello, I had a problem before with STALKER when I upgraded my RAM, I had a RAM and mother board conflict, did u recently changed or upgraded your RAM?

well i had been running the game for a week now with the new ram in and started up tonight tried to load game and it stuck tw ofingers up at me :)

applied patches and the x ray engine is still playing up i'll try to get a report but it total goes non responsive now

Try running with each individual stick of RAM, if it works with one, keep adding the others until it creates problems.

You could also try running Prime95 or Memtest. Let Prime95 run overnight, or do about 5 passes in Memtest, those will check the stability of the RAM.

moved saved games out of archive, tried to re install and the set up screen said my two 7900 gtx graphics cards have 0mbs hmmmm any ideas, the latest drivers are in there.

Might be having problems with SLI.
Have you tried disabling one of them?
Which drivers are you using?

What is saying you have memory on the GPU? Where are you reading that information?
Is that a bad or good thing?

A screen from the install view of stalker was saying upon the reinstall of stalker that the graphics card didn't have enough memory, i didnt bother installing it then next time i started computer up it said that i have got enough memory ????

now i installed it and played it NO PROBS at all.

Tonight i try to play the game and it throws this in my face :-
