HL2 errors

recently i have been having errors with games that use the half life 2 engin but i can play age of chivalry which is a HL2 mod ??? and it is kind of realy annoying that this happens

. the error that appeard was :
Platform Error: module version ('serverbrowser.dll, VGuiModuleServerBrowser001) invalid, not loading

i have been looking around valve and steam to c if i can get any help but thus far i have had no replys or any contact from them

which means i am still stuck with this problem. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Apologies that this thread has not been answered yet - it must have slipped through without notice somehow.

Are you still having these problems? If so, please click on "Common Game Issues" in my signature, and follow all the steps listed. Post back with results, and system specs if nothing helps.
