Call of Duty 5 problems
Ok, my computer is a Hp Pavilion dv6799ea. It has a NVIDIA Geforce 8400M GS graphics card, 2gb of RAM, an Intel Core2 Duo Processor T8100 @ 2.1GHz and there is vista on the computer.
The game installs fine and loads properly but problems start occurring from the title videos; the sound abruptly comes in and out distorting the video. THis happens on all the title videos. Then the game play is slow and blocky. The keys become unreponsive as the game moves very slowly and sounds are not always in sync. I have only played the start of the first level and this is too hard to complete with the current problem so I can't see whether this applies to everything. Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Call of Duty 5 problems
Quick answer--- you need a better video card.
Install a program called Fraps to show you Frames per Second. You need 30 FPS minimum for gaming. The more the better. 60fps for smooth game. Also lower your graphics settings in game to try and raise fps. Turn off AA (anti aliasing), set detail to medium or low until you get a better Vcard. The game will look better at the monitors native resolution unless you need to lower the resolution to increase fps. Check out (google) Tweak Guides for specific game info. Good Luck |

Re: Call of Duty 5 problems
no no 25+ fps for a smooth game
I'm just gonna throw this out there. Here's a laptop I would buy ASUS $900 nvidia 9650 graphics card 4 gigs of ram 2ghz dual core http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...%20-%20%241000 this would allow you to play call of duty Waw just fine |
