Question Fraps Lagging Sound Problem

Hi everybody! =D

I need some help with Fraps. I've been trying to record Stepmania using fraps and i've been having some problems.

first, it lags a lot. I fixed this though by lowering the quality and the frame rate for fraps. It all looked good until i realized that as the video goes on, the sound progressively falls behind.

If you watch the video on youtube you can see exactly what I am talking about. Heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XBU2MH76D8

Thanks for the help!

try to lower the graphics even more, and lowe the sound quality, what ir ur sound card? is it Built-in? and Fraps lags when recording, it takes away more than 20 to 25 FPS when recording ;)

depends on your system playing crysis with fraps on takes away about 10- 40% fps from a 35fps on very high 4xAA to with fraps at 25fps (29% decrease)

don't say just numbers say a percentage anybody can throw numbers out there

It all depends on your system

Re: Fraps Lagging Sound Problem

I think this is a flaw in FRAPS, if your FPS drops but your audio does not skip, your video will lag behind your audio. I guess they are using the "no next frame, no write frame" instead of "no next frame, write last frame" policy...
