can i run GTA IV

Hi TSF

okay so today i went to canyourunit.com to see if i pass on gta iv and everything except my cpu passes. the cpu speed passes but fails on the dula cored my specs are
2.8GHz Intel P4 singel cored HT CPU
2GB DDR400 Ram
ATi Radeon HD 2400 PRO AGP 512 MB graphics card
Windows Vista 32 bit
160GB WD Hard Drive

The CPU is OK, I think it's in the minimum specs here. but the real problem is ur Graphic Card, ATI Radeon 2400 Pro, it's a low performance card with a 64 bit interface, I doupt that it'll run the game, but give it a try (get a demo of the game if there is one).

Don't think there is a demo...
You may be able to run it but it won't be pretty. In a review I read, the guy had to turn some stuff down a bit just to get it running smoothly and he was running an 8800.

well i know i wont run it on high graphics cuz i know my computer is out of date but i still would like to play it even on low graphics so thanks to everyone that help.
I just wasn't sure if i could run it on my CPU witch seems like i could.

This is the minimum hardware required to be able to start GTA IV. To properly run the game you need a little more power.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 /
AMD Athlon64 X2 4600+

Display Card!: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 256MB /
ATI Radeon X1900 256MB

RAM: 1536MB

HDD Space: 16GB

Operating System: Windows Vista SP1 / Windows XP SP3

Your processor will not be able to keep up or even run the game. If you want to play the game you might need to upgrade.

Your graphics card will struggle with the game. If you have problems with GTA: SA then its possible GTA IV will be worse. That is if your CPU can run the game to begin with.

But its definatly time to upgrade if you want to continue playing the latest games.

yea I looked at the specs for my computer and I don't hit the reccommended for GTA 4. They reccomend a quad core for this game, that doesn't mean my gaming experience will be slower its just what they reccomend

so for you intelfan you need a dual core to run this game. I highly doubt there would be a demo or if there was it would be small part of the city and the rest would fenced off/ invisible walls and maybe 2 missions
