Poor performance from Need For Speed Undercover
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 on a 2.8GHz Pentium D, 3GB DDR2 with XFX GeForce 8600GT. I've played the NFS franchise previously on this same machine and never encountered lag whatsoever, even on 1024*768 settings. But when I bought the disc and ran it yesterday, I was disappointed literally. Dropping the resolution to 800*600, no AA, no shadows, and all other details set to medium does not help much. While playing, there is a noticable jerk in the framerates and this causes much disturbance. I wonder if it would run much better if I roll back to old good XP Pro.
