company of heroes

well ive bought the game for on my dad's pc
and i installed it but when start it up it automaticly starts up in online
and it says to donwload the patch, so i press ok and then it says the patch cant donwload, so i tried donwloading the patch from the internet and install it then but that doesent even work, so i cant play it

please help

When you install the game, it should put two icons on your desktop: the Single Player game and the Online game. If you want to play it right out of the box then click on the Single player game and don't mess with the online portion.

You can always go to Fileplanet.com to download the patches later.

i dont know how but il maybey figure it out

but thats one of the problems the patches dont work

So you bought Company of Heroes or Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts? The vanilla CoH comes with 1.71 patch cd, which includes DX10 support. The current CoH patch is 2.301, SO you would have to patch a LOT if you wanted to play it. But if you plug off your internet when you are starting the game, it will ask you to insert your dvd, you do that and then it verifies it and then you will be able to play skirmish.

http://cohpatch.relic.com/ From there you should be able to DL your patches. This game is a bit tricky with these patches but you will get used to it :)

i bought coh ,but i also wanted opposing fronts but they dident had it so il buy it elsewhere , but it worked:) i started up again yesterday and i could donwload the patches thx for the help :)
