Fable TLC: Runtime Error

Hi, my fable TLC won't run on my computer. Everytime I start the game, before the startscreen a "We are sorry, but we have detected that the game did not exit correctly. We recommend starting the game in safe mode. Safe mode may disable some advanced features of the game, but may allow you to play the game." and then I click continue anyway and continue in 'Safe Mode', but I get this:

Runtime Error

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

This is my computer, it's not very good but it meets the minimum requirements for Fable.

Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Intel (R)
Pentium (R) 4 CPU 1.80 GHz
256MB RAM (I know :()

Please help me fix this, thank you!
