Computer Laggy at Games !

Ok first sorry if my english is bad but i'm from bulgaria.
Second : Here is my problem :
My specs are : Amd Sepron 3400+ , 1 gb RAM , nVIDIA 8400GS.I know this is not the best for gaming but new games working good for me.But yesterday every game i tried it's lag sooo bad that i can't play.I play Fallout 3 on high without AA with no problem.But right now i can barely play it,i tried to reinstall the DirectX but that don't help.The drivers are the newest from nvidia web site, so rly i don't know what to do ?
Any suggestions ?

I would suggest getting more ram but as you said you have played previously fine. Have you thought about doing a system restore to when you had no troubles playing? Do you have a restore point set?

Nope.Only i can restore to today , and is no need.So thans man but any other sugestions or reinstalling the windows :S ?

Seems a bit drastic to reinstall windows because of lag. Do your computer maintenance (spyware, addware, disk cleanup, defrag, virus scan

Yep i do these things without one.The Defragment.I will do it later , silly i play left 4 dead demo right now on high without AA and there's no lag.I can't understand that computer :D
