All games, Minimize out to Windows.
Ok I got a new rig about 4 months ago, everything was going fine. Now all of a sudden any game I attempt to play after 20-30 seconds usually it minimizes and I'm back in windows. I still hear the game music and can get back in, only to be booted soon after.
The only recent changes to software are Fallout3 installed and Nortons AV ran out. I have since updated Nortons and I have no virus/spyware problem. Fallout3 ran fine for the first week. games I have tried are COH:OF, Fallout3, and SIns of a Solar Empire. They all crash now almost immediately. Video card drivers are updated. I have heard bad things about Nortons AV. Like a few days after you let it expire all hell breaks loose. Have heard this from multiple people, anyone else know of this? My Specs: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-6400C5 It's just very perplexing. My knowledge is not the greatest so I will defer to the experts. Thanks in advance! Terry Last edited by tlbyanksfan; 11-07-2008 at 08:47 PM. Reason: Forgot to mention drivers updated. |
