The Battle For Middle Earth 2 HELP NEEDED

Hello i recently purchased a new Dell XPS 730 and installed BFME 2 on it
the game worked fine the first time i played it without the updates
then i updated it and it gets to the splash screen and says (please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application) i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice and still no luck even without updates.

i have the correct disk in it ran of it before i dont understand whats going on

if any one can help i would very much appreciate it

things i have tried:
Runing as the admistrator
changing the compatability settings to window xp service pack 2

i tried reinstalling the game again i have a diffrent error with out compatability i now get (the battle for middle earth has stoped working windows is checking for a solution) it goes on to say "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

again please help me

A friend a hard problem to Solve!
I have recently installed Lord Of The Rings : Battle For Middle Earth 2 on my computer as well. My computer is pretty much top end. I installed the game, everything seemed fine. Then I launched the game. I installed a patch for online play, and then that's when it began not working. It may be that your pc is not high enough quality to play lotr bfme2 or it also could be viruses or your fire walls up. What does the error or application say before it doesn't launch or closes the game?. Btw mine still isn't working after the recent patch online update so.

my computer is more then capable of playing BFME i can run supreme commander, dawn of war and BFME all at once on the higest graphics so that is not the issue

right click on setup.exe for LOTR dvd and go into properties then security settings and change the security for at least the main user like user: TG HUNTER LORD/PC to allow full control

where would i find setup.exe i explored the DVD it wasent there

damm i hate it when games act up for no reason

check out your problems and solutions

system and maintenance
problem reports and solutions

see if anything has to do with LOTR installing properly or whatever junk LOTR is causing
